Freemasonry has its own anti-scriptural beliefs

The Mark Master Degree

The Masons Mark Master degree makes a mockery of the Lord Jesus Christ and the infallible truth of His Holy Word. By, in typical Rosicrucian manner, deliberately spiritualising that which is intended to be literal in Scripture and literalising that which is meant to be spiritual. Thus, they deceptively try to turn the infallible teaching of Scripture into a confused deposit of obscure, unintelligible, teaching.

In this esoteric Masons degree, they blasphemously turn the Chief Corner Stone mentioned throughout Scripture (which is a clear symbolic reference to the Lord Jesus Christ) into a literal brick corner-stone which is profanely paraded around the Chapter room.

However, Matthew 21 42-44 records Christ expounding its true significance, whilst speaking to the religious Jewish leaders of His day, saying, "Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder."

This discourse, in essence, predicted how Christ would draw a people (of all nations) unto Himself, through Israel's wanton rejection of the Messiah. This came in the form of a spiritual nation - the Church.

Ephesians 2:19-22 says, speaking SOLELY of the Church (those of all colours, nationalities, ages and gender who know and love the Lord Jesus Christ as their own and personal Saviour), "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF BEING THE CHIEF CORNER STONE; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."

In the Masons Mark Master degree the candidate is told that there was a stone discarded in the rubbish at the building of Solomon's Temple.

The Worshipful Master then says "I remember the plans included such a Stone, see here is a model before me - the work undertaken by our Grand Master Hiram Abiff" (Irish wording).

The new candidate imitating one of the craftsmen at the Temple then searches in a pile of rubbish on the Lodge floor and finds a stone.

The Worshipful Master then joyfully declares, "The Stone has been discovered. It was found by the Craftsman who presented it at the gate."

The Worshipful Master then examines the stone and declares "It is indeed the missing Stone. The Stone which the builders refused has become the headstone of the corner."

The candidate is then addressed by name and rewarded for his find by being advanced to the position of a true Mark Master Mason.

The Mark Master lecture teaches, "Wherefore, BRETHREN, lay aside all malice, and guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, If so be, ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also, as lively stones, BE YE built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God" (US wording).

Freemasonry, again, blasphemously corrupts the infallible teaching of Scripture by removing the matchless NAME of the Lord Jesus Christ from His own Word - thus denying the Saviour.

This reading, in reality, refers solely to the child of God, and affirms, "Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, AS NEWBORN BABES, DESIRE THE SINCERE MILK OF THE WORD, THAT YE MAY GROW THEREBY. If so be, ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also, as lively stones, ARE built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God BY JESUS Christ" (1 Peter 2:1-5).

It further continues, "Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed" (vv 6-8).

Mason, how can you omit the Lord Jesus Christ from His own Word? Can you not see the folly? What grand authority does the Lodge carry that it can tamper so easily with the infallible truths of Holy Writ? We as Christ's followers are forced to say in the words of Mary, "they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him" (John 20:13).

Jesus said in John 5:23b-24, "He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."

David could testify of the Rock - Christ Jesus - in 2 Samuel 22:2-3, saying, "The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour."

There is an old Gospel hymn which reads, "On Christ the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand."

Also, Christ is the eternal Rock who has never been lost. He is the eternal Son of God - He existed in all eternity.

Jesus said, in John 8:58, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am."

Christ also said, in John 17:5, in His great intercessory prayer to His Father, "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was."

Luke 10:18 records, "And he [Christ] said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven."

Colossians 1:16-20 says, "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: AND HE IS BEFORE ALL THINGS, AND BY HIM ALL THINGS CONSIST. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven."

Freemasonry corrupts Scripture further by deceptively attributing promises pertaining to the Church to their counterfeit fraternity, saying, "BRETHREN, THIS is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not as using your liberty for a cloak of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God" (US wording).

The actual reading of this passage, to the Church, says, "FOR SO is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. HONOUR THE KING" (1 Peter 2:15-17).

John Gill, in expounding this passage, explains, "Love the brotherhood; or 'your brethren'…. the whole company of the brethren in Christ, who are born of God, are members of Christ, and of the same body, and have the same spirit, belong to the same family, and are of the household of faith." Secret societies by their very existence are an alternative to the body of believers the Church, and thus deprive Christ of His rightful place in men's lives. Found within these institutions are all the component parts of the Church, albeit in imitation form. They even mimic God's people by portraying themselves as a brotherhood, referring to their fellow members as 'brethren' and the individual member as 'brother'. Nevertheless Jesus said, "For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother" (Matthew 12:50).

Christians have no right to undermine their privileged position within the body of believers by joining such man-made counterfeits. Such compromise, damages their walk with God, weakens their commitment to the body of believers and flies in the face of Scripture. The child of God's position within the brotherhood of believers negates any need for man-made imitations.

Interestingly, also, the Red Lodge omits any mention to the King of glory - the Lord Jesus Christ. Notwithstanding, He ALONE is all the glory in Emmanuel's land.

Christ sits upon the throne of glory today at the right hand of majesty on high reigning until His enemies are made His footstool. After His resurrection He victoriously declared, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth" (Matthew 28:18). It was Calvary that defeated the power of Satan. Colossians 2:15 tells us that "having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it."

Christ providentially rules supreme over everything in heaven and in earth. He ordains all things that occur for the glory of God and the ultimate good of the Church. Ephesians 1:17-21 tells us that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, has achieved, "the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come."

The teaching of Masonry is heretical. The structure of Masonry is an abominable design of the devil which is intended to totally undermine God's only provision for sin - the Lord Jesus Christ. Notwithstanding, it is sad to see countless thousands of decent Masons being hoodwinked into a Christless, bloodless, delusion, which will ultimately lead them to a lost eternity in the Grand Lodge below. There to be damned and doomed for ever without Christ and without hope.

The Bible says, "the god of this world [who is Satan] hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (2 Corinthians 4:4).

"Royal" Arch degree

Freemasonry teaches, in the "Royal" Arch degree, "Now we command you, brethren, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. For we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread" (US wording).

This Masonic teaching may appear familiar to many Christians as it is taken from the New Testament book of II Thessalonians 3:6-12. The Lodge here applies teaching that pertains solely to the Church of Jesus Christ and applies it to the Masonic membership. Further, the Lodge significantly removes the name of the Lord Jesus Christ from this reading thus hypocritically making the Word of God of none effect (Red Lodge Masonry like Blue Lodge Masonry OUTLAWS the very mention of the name of Christ in its worship).

Jesus said of such teachers, in Mark 7:6-13, "Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men…Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye."

II Thessalonians 3:6-12 should really read, "Now we command you, brethren, IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us. For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. Now them that are such we command and exhort BY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread."

Here we see Masonry unashamedly and maliciously corrupting God's infallible Word. Freemasonry here tampers with the inspired words of the Apostle Paul and then selectively appropriates them as their own - once again omitting the all powerful, majestic name our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible commands, however, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:5-11).

Jesus said, in Matthew 10:32-33, "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But WHOSOEVER SHALL DENY ME BEFORE MEN, HIM WILL I ALSO DENY BEFORE MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN."

Paul of the Apostle under the inspiration of God warned of such an organisation nearly 2000 years. In 2 Corinthians 11:3-4, he said, "I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."

Verses 13-15 goes unto to say, "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."
